Birth Essentials: October 2024 One Day Birth Preparation

This group course will run over 1 x Saturday

Course length is 6hrs total.

Refreshments and light snacks provided for morning and afternoon tea and includes a 1 hr lunch break.

Includes:

Our one day group course provides empowering positive birth education for you and your partner in the lead up to your birth.

• 6 hours of face to face group tuition encompassing the Birth Essentials training for the birthing mother and her birth partner.
• Topics covered will include; How to prepare for your  birth mentally, emotionally and physically with practical, interactive and useful content.
• Understanding. of the hormonal physiology of labour and how you can  develop the confidence to harness your own birthing instincts.
•  Understanding how to work with  self- hypnosis and hypnobirthing techniques , how to use affirmations and visualisations to plan and prepare for your birth.
• Understanding and awareness of how your breath and ability to relax and 'let go' will be one of your fundamental birth tools. 
• Active birthing techniques including massage, acupressure and optimal maternal positioning education.
• Information on the importance and practical advice on how to cultivate the optimum environment for your birth.
• Current education and information regarding your birth choices, birth rights and how to navigate any policies in your birth setting so you can be fully informed and retain autonomy in your birth journey. 
• Modern and relevant folio of essential birthing resources, including course handouts.
• Voucher code to purchase Hypnobirthing Australia relaxation/self-hypnosis tracks from their website.
• Phone and email support right up to and even during your birth with the offer of a birth debrief.
• Additional support for special circumstances eg. Additional Fear Release, Caesarean Birth or Breech turn session.

You and your birth partner will be given the knowledge, tools and support to help prepare you to birth supported and confidently.

We recommend beginning your positive birth education anywhere between 22 and 36 weeks. 

Course Investment:

$350 (including GST) for you and your chosen birth partner - (A $150 deposit is required at the time of booking, to book please select 1 ticket below to secure your spot for you and your chosen birth partner)

The remaining $200 course fee will be invoiced to you and payable a week before your class starting date.
